INJUSTICE Harley Quinn alt cosplay by JiaJem

Here's a project we did for fun! You can check out the full photoshoot gallery here- Harley Quinn alt cosplay gallery: click here
These were taken in downtown Chicago, same place they filmed Batman Begins and The Dark Knight!

Here's her site: Jia*Jem.com
her deviant art: click here

Ive been a huge fan of JiaJem and her incredible cosplay and craftsmanship skills for years. Even years before we found each other in Chicago. Her attention to detail both in the way she constructs each outfit and in the way she matches that characters personality makes her fully become that character for real. Just check out her work on Jack from Mass Effect 2, Tank girl!, Leeloo, Lola from Run Lola Run, Rogue, Puma Twins, Pris, etc etc etc. Very impressive work! I'm absolutely thrilled that she chose to recreate one of my characters, Harley Quinn's alt outfit from INJUSTICE Gods Among Us. Its the most amazing thing to see how she brought this character out of the game and into the real world! :D

During her Harley photoshoot we had an idea to shoop in my Alt Joker from the videogame so that it would have a Cool World/Who Framed Roger Rabbit vibe to it. A cartoon character interacting with a real person in the real world.
Harley and Mistah J making bloody finger paint love signs with help from one of the latest victims :)

Harley's Babiez! I thought it would be cool to photoshop in some of her Hyenas wearing Joker warpaint. Have them on chains running around Gotham City!

INJUSTICE Concept Art

At last the game I've been working on for the past 2 years is finally out! It was the best thing in the world to be given the chance to redesign some of the worlds most badass superheroes and villains. They wanted us to go in a live action summer blockbuster movie direction with these designs. Hope you like them!

Spider-man

Fan-art I made a while ago. I wanted to put the spider logo on the face rather than the chest because I think that its cool, intimidating, and is reminiscent of the Darth Maul/Rorschach facial patterns. The whispy spider web strings hanging from his arms are left over web collected around the web shooters from so much web slingin around the city. They might give off cool looking trails as Spiderman is flipping around and kicking criminals asses.

Mileena Playboy Pinup

Mortal Kombat 9 for the Vita comes out today! Here's a Mileena marketing pinup I made for Playboy Magazine to promote Mortal Kombat 9. It was my first assignment when I got to Netherrealm Studios a year ago. I was constantly reminded by the art director to make it playboy classy and not Hustler slutty hahaha! The studio said I probably shouldnt post my mileena, kitana, sheeva, and jade Hustler pinups... T_T noooo! Still this was my favorite job yet! If you play the vita version you will probably find this painting in the krypt.

Punk'in Carving!

Painted my badass girlfriend, Jia*Jem carving a pumpkin for Halloween! :D She's an incredibly talented cosplayer. She makes all of her own amazing costumes! You can view her website HERE

The second painting down is from her Belldandy cosplay from Ah My Goddess. Again she made the wings and everything. Beautiful!

Third- I was sick as hell a while ago and drew myself locked away in my room like Alucard (Hellsing) with vampire sickness. So I drew a hazmat suit for Jia to wear so she doesnt get sick while she feeds me blood.

Alien Scum!

I wanted to make an alien that would fit in the Mass Effect/Star Wars universe...cloaked and wearing some kind of toxic breathing apparatus.

You would most likely see him in the lower pits of a city...in the dark corner of a creepy bar...giving you the stink eye.

Mortal Kombat 9 - Rain

I got to paint the final scene in Rain's ending cinematic. Shao Kahn's army of monsters invading Earthrealm! I thought it would be funny to have one of the giant arena monsters ripping a school bus in half somewhere in the background. This painting is fully animated in the cinematic below.
